    Uisce Éireann (Irish Water), Ireland

    Uisce Éireann is Ireland’s national water utility responsible for providing and developing public water and wastewater services. It consolidated services previously managed by 31 local authorities. Initially a subsidiary of Bord Gáis (Ervia), Uisce Éireann became a standalone public utility on 1 January 2023 following the Water Services (Amendment) Act 2022. It operates under the oversight of the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It also manages infrastructure, capital investment, and customer services for approximately 80% of Ireland’s population. Its mission is to deliver safe, clean, and sustainable water services nationwide.
