The State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Gujarat is a statutory body responsible for granting Environmental Clearances (EC) for projects falling under Category ‘B’ as per the EIA Notification. It works in coordination with the State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC). SEIAA ensures that developmental projects comply with environmental norms, conducts appraisals, and imposes conditions to mitigate adverse impacts.
