    New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), formerly known as New Mangalore Port Trust, is the only major port in Karnataka and one of India’s 12 major ports. It serves as a key maritime gateway for the western coast, handling diverse cargo such as crude oil, petroleum products, coal, fertilizers, iron ore, and containerized goods. The port is a modern, all-weather port with 17 berths and is a critical hub for trade in Karnataka and neighboring states.
