    The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is one of the three local bodies in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, responsible for municipal governance in the New Delhi area, commonly known as Lutyens’ Delhi. It covers about 42.7 sq. km, housing key government buildings like Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, and diplomatic missions. NDMC manages civic services such as sanitation, water supply, electricity distribution, roads, public health, education, and beautification projects. It originated as the New Delhi Municipal Committee and was renamed as the New Delhi Municipal Council in 1994.
