Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL Limited) is a flagship Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) established to mine and beneficiate low-grade magnetite iron ore in Kudremukh, Karnataka. With over four decades of experience, KIOCL operates a 3.5 MTPA iron-oxide pellet plant and a 2.16 lakh TPA pig iron blast furnace in Mangaluru. It has transitioned from captive mining to sourcing ore from NMDC and other suppliers, and continues to play a vital role in India’s iron and steel value chain.
