Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited (KBJNL)

Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited (KBJNL) is a government-owned company established to implement the Upper Krishna Project (UKP), one of Karnataka’s largest irrigation initiatives. It is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining irrigation infrastructure in drought-prone districts like Gulbarga, Raichur, Bagalkot, and Bijapur. It also manages water distribution, revenue collection, and rehabilitation of affected communities. The project aims to transform agriculture and improve livelihoods in the Krishna-Bheema basin.
