Karnataka Biodiversity Board

    Karnataka Biodiversity Board is a statutory body with primary mandate to promote conservation of biodiversity, ensure sustainable use of biological resources, and facilitate equitable sharing of benefits arising from their utilization. The board advises the state government on biodiversity-related matters, regulates access to biological resources, and supports the creation of People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) across Karnataka. It also coordinates with the National Biodiversity Authority and conducts awareness programs, research, and training workshops to strengthen biodiversity governance.
