Geologische Dienst Nederland (Geological Survey of the Netherlands- GDN)

Geologische Dienst Nederland is the knowledge and research center of the Dutch subsurface that focuses on the sustainable use of the subsurface, energy transition, climate adaptation, and effects of mining. It conducts applied earth science research on geo-energy, raw materials, the energy transition, subsidence, and groundwater, collects, manages, and makes accessible subsurface-related data, and creates digital models of the subsurface. It also advises the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy on exploration, production of minerals, geothermal energy, and storage in the subsurface. It offers open, harmonized, and standardized datasets of the Dutch subsurface via various portals.
