The European Union Satellite Centre (EU SatCen), founded as a Western European Union body, became an agency of the European Union on January 1, 2002. The Centre comprises experienced imagery analysts, geospatial specialists, and supporting personnel recruited from EU Member States. It also hosts seconded experts from Member States and Third states plays a pivotal role in supporting the EU’s decision-making in the field of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).
