Department of Agriculture, Rajasthan

Department of Agriculture, Rajasthan aims to achieve self-sufficiency in food production, increase agricultural production and income of farmers and farm labourers, and promote sustainable use of natural resources such as land and water. In 1949, the Government of Rajasthan established an integrated Agriculture department, which expanded in 1952. The Department of Animal Husbandry was separated from it, and the Agriculture Department was reconstituted in 1955.
