Delhi Transco Limited (DTL)

Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) is the State Transmission Utility (STU) of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, responsible for transmitting electricity at 220 kV and 400 kV levels. It was formed after the unbundling of the Delhi Vidyut Board (DVB) during power sector reforms. DTL ensures efficient and reliable power transmission from central and intra-state generating stations to Delhi’s distribution companies (DISCOMs). The company operates and maintains an extensive Extra High Voltage (EHV) network, including Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) and underground cables, and manages the State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) for integrated grid operations. DTL also implements advanced technologies like SCADA, smart grids, and ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency and ensure uninterrupted power supply in Delhi.
