Chhattisgarh Police

The Chhattisgarh Police is the official law enforcement agency of the state that was established following the formation of the state after its separation from Madhya Pradesh. The force is responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and ensuring internal security. It has developed specialized units such as the Special Task Force (STF), District Reserve Guard (DRG), and Danteshwari Ladake to combat Naxalite insurgency in affected regions. The Chhattisgarh Police is known for its modernization efforts, community policing, and training infrastructure, including the State Police Academy at Chandkhuri.
