Urban Development and Housing Department, Madhya Pradesh

The Urban Development and Housing Department (UDHD), Government of Madhya Pradesh, is the state’s apex authority for urban planning, municipal governance, housing, and city infrastructure development. It oversees urban local bodies (ULBs), formulates policies, implements schemes, and manages programs related to water supply, sanitation, housing, urban poverty alleviation, waste management, and e‑governance. The department coordinates dozens of schemes including PM‑Svanidhi, e‑NagarPalika, utility water management, metro rail planning, and colonizer registration, ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth across Madhya Pradesh’s urban landscape.
