Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) is the statutory planning and development authority for the Pune Metropolitan Region in Maharashtra, India. It coordinates and oversees urban planning, land use, infrastructure development, affordable housing, transport, and smart city initiatives across more than 7,200 sq. km, which includes Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and surrounding peri-urban and rural areas. It also facilitates integrated development, economic growth, and sustainable urbanization through regulatory, infrastructure, and investment promotion functions, bridging state policy and local implementation in one of India’s fastest-growing metropolitan regions.
