Prasar Bharati

Prasar Bharati, India’s Public Service Broadcaster is mandated to organize and conduct public broadcasting services to inform, educate, and entertain while ensuring balanced development of radio and television broadcasting. Its two main constituents are All India Radio (Akashvani) and Doordarshan, which together provide multilingual services across the nation. Prasar Bharati also operates DD FreeDish, India’s only free Direct-to-Home platform, and extends its reach through digital platforms like the NewsOnAir App and Prasar Bharati News Service.
