Directorate of Settlement & Land Records, Manipur is responsible for land administration, land revenue collection, survey operations, preparation and maintenance of land records, and house‑tax administration in hill areas. Manipur’s land system includes both surveyed and unsurveyed land, with survey operations handled by the Directorate of Settlement & Land Records. Once survey and record preparation are completed, land records are transferred to the Deputy Commissioners for custody, mutation, correction, and updating. The department ensures efficient land governance across Manipur’s valley and hill districts.
