After Uttarakhand became a state in 2000, the department was reorganized, and on 11 May 2012, the earlier Chief Revenue Commissioner’s setup was upgraded to the Board of Revenue, making it more efficient and dynamic. The Board oversees Bhulekh, land use permissions, Svamitva, RCMS (Revenue Court Monitoring System), Bhunaksha, and DILRMP modernization initiatives.
