Department of Mobility and Public Works (MOW), Belgium

The Department of Mobility and Public Works is responsible for shaping and coordinating mobility, transport infrastructure, and public works policy in Flanders. It develops long‑term strategies for sustainable mobility and oversees ports, waterways, road infrastructure, and major public investments. The department supports the Flemish Minister of Mobility and Public Works and coordinates agencies such as De Lijn, the Agency for Roads and Traffic, and the Waterways Authority. MOW plays a central role in implementing regional, European, and international transport policy.
