Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BBNL) is established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to implement the BharatNet project, aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to all Gram Panchayats in India through an extensive optical fiber network. The initiative is part of the Digital India program to bridge the digital divide and promote inclusive growth. BBNL manages the planning, execution, and maintenance of the network, ensuring non-discriminatory access to telecom service providers.
