Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC)
The Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC) is the Government of Assam’s nodal organisation for promoting and applying satellite remote sensing, GIS, GPS, and geospatial technologies in planning and resource management. Established under the Assam Science, Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC), ASSAC supports natural‑resource assessment, agriculture monitoring, watershed development, wetlands mapping, disaster management, and departmental decision‑making. The centre serves as a partner institution in national missions of ISRO and generates spatial and non‑spatial datasets to aid sustainable development across Assam.
