The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA ACT) is the Australian Capital Territory Government agency responsible for delivering emergency management and frontline emergency response services to the Canberra community. Established under the Emergencies Act 2004 (ACT), ESA ACT operates through an integrated, all‑hazards model. It comprises four operational services: ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Rural Fire Service, and ACT State Emergency Service (ACT SES). These services are supported by shared corporate, governance, communications, intelligence, capability development and emergency coordination divisions, enabling unified command, efficient resource sharing and coordinated emergency response across the Territory.
