Victoria Dam, Sri Lanka's tallest arch dam, is located approximately 10 miles from Kandy and four miles from Teldeniya. Constructed over a period of 7 years, it was completed in 1985 and houses a 210 MW hydroelectric power station, ranking as the nation's largest. Recognizing the significance of this infrastructure to Sri Lanka, the Mahaweli Authority determined the need for a comprehensive upgrade to the dam's monitoring system. This modernization initiative aims to ensure the continuous assessment of structural integrity and alignment with the original design.
