Ordnance Survey (OS) and Deimos Space UK collaborated with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) in Dubai to automate the production of geospatial information from satellite EO data using machine learning algorithms. With Dubai experiencing rapid development, the project aimed to monitor the impact of urbanization on the natural environment, resources, and habitats. The focus was on tracking the growth and health of vegetation, ensuring accurate subsidy payments to farmers, maximizing data production efficiency, and creating interoperable data storage capabilities aligned with other Dubai data initiatives.
