The telecommunications industry generates a large volume of data that has a close relationship with geographical information. Geospatial technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), can be utilized to manage and analyze this data, which can enhance decision-making and improve the efficiency of telecommunications management. The development of the Personal Handy Phone System (PHS) in Xiangfan, China, revealed the limitations of traditional manual management and basic database management approaches in meeting the demands of PHS network construction and optimization.
