    Project Details

The largest natural gas and electric utility in Maryland, Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), is an Exelon company. It serves 700,000 natural gas customers and over 1.3 million electric customers in central Maryland with safe and dependable energy delivery.

With the integration of Itron's SLV CMS with TerraGo's SLV:GO field operations software, BGE is implementing smart street lighting. BGE can fully manage the life cycle of their lighting infrastructure with TerraGo's software, which includes five integrated modules for work orders, planning, inventory, installation, and maintenance. The installation of smart nodes, or networked lighting controllers, on all company-maintained outdoor lights—roughly 94%, or more than 260,000—is part of BGE's Smart Lighting Controls Deployment Program.
