    Project Details

The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is a new motorway linking Kent, Thurrock, and Essex via a tunnel beneath the River Thames. It is a critical component of the UK's transportation network, enhancing connectivity across the nation. With an estimated cost of $8.7 billion USD, it represents England's most substantial road investment since the completion of the M25 over three decades ago. This project is unparalleled in size and scope, featuring the UK's longest road tunnel and one of the world's largest bored tunnels, measuring 16 meters in diameter.
