    Project Details

The ancient Church of San Donato, nestled in the picturesque village of Serrazzano, Pisa, Italy, required preservation and retrofitting. IDS GeoRadar leveraged advanced GPR, specifically the C-thrue all-in-one GPR with dual polarization, for the non-invasive inspection of the Church. The project aimed to assess the structural integrity of the historical church by detecting and mapping hidden tie-rods within its walls. Through meticulous surveying and analysis, conducted with the support of IDS GeoRadar's innovative solutions, the project successfully identified and evaluated these structural elements, providing valuable insights for the preservation of the ancient landmark. The use of geospatial technology not only enabled precise data collection and analysis but also upheld the principles of historic preservation by minimizing damage to the architectural heritage.
