    Project Details

The City Council of Madrid, in partnership with industry leaders Maxar and Indra, embarked on a transformative journey to revitalize the city's landscape. Employing satellite imagery, including Maxar's high-resolution WorldView-2 data, the council monitored and analyzed urban vegetation. Utilizing innovative methodologies like NDVI and FVC calculations, the project aimed to prioritize green spaces, enhance sustainability, and mitigate environmental challenges such as the urban heat island effect. This collaborative effort underscores the significance of data-driven decision-making in fostering vibrant, resilient urban environments.
