JBA Consulting in collaboration with Forestry England, conducted a bathymetric survey covering seven lakes in the North York Moors National Park and Dalby Forest. Challenges such as dense vegetation, remote locations, and unreliable signals were overcome through the use of advanced geospatial technology including total stations and GNSS receivers. Despite the obstacles, the team successfully completed the survey within the allocated timeframe, providing accurate data crucial for environmental conservation efforts. The project highlights the effectiveness of modern surveying techniques in navigating complex terrains and preserving natural landscapes.
