    Project Details

United Power, serving over 100,000 homes and businesses in Colorado's Northern Front Range, faced the challenge of managing vegetation in rights of way (ROWs) across 6,500 line miles of rugged terrain. The Mountain District, particularly in Coal Creek Canyon and Golden Gate Canyon, presented difficulties in ground inspections and lacked comprehensive tree-trimming records for planning purposes. To address these challenges and enhance grid resiliency, United Power implemented AiDash IVMS in May 2021, covering 400 miles of overhead lines in the Mountain District. The system leverages AI and satellite imagery to identify vegetation risks, optimize trim cycles, and prioritize hazard tree removals.
