Industrial growth in Álava, a region in the Basque Country, relies heavily on the availability and management of industrial properties. Public entities such as SPRILUR, GILSA, AAD, and PTA identified the need for a unified system to centralize and streamline the management of industrial plots, warehouses, and offices. The existing fragmented system made it challenging for businesses to locate suitable properties, thus hindering economic development. A comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS)-based platform was created to address this issue. This platform consolidates public and private property listings into a centralized database, providing real-time, accurate information on available industrial properties. Businesses and investors can now easily access a unified interface to search for greenfield and brownfield assets, enhancing the efficiency of decision-making processes and promoting regional economic growth.
