    Project Details

The ACE-XR project, spearheaded by Vectrona in partnership with PTC and Microsoft, revolutionized the training paradigm for the U.S. Air Force by integrating cutting-edge augmented and mixed reality technologies. Recognizing the limitations of traditional training methods and the critical need for rapid and effective training of personnel, the Air Force sought to adopt a more dynamic and scalable approach. ACE-XR (Augmented Cognitive Environment – Extended Reality) was developed to meet this need, providing immersive, 3D interactive training experiences that cater to various learning styles and increase the engagement and retention of trainees. This innovation enables them to practice and master maintenance and operational tasks in a virtual environment before transitioning to hands-on training with real equipment.
