    Project Details

The Elbe Tunnel in Hamburg, a critical northern European infrastructure, underwent a precise examination using advanced kinematic 3D laser scanning. This generated georeferenced data, serving as a valuable resource for maintenance, repairs, and streamlined planning and design. It also sets the groundwork for future innovations like Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Over 200 different 3D objects within the tunnel, including emergency exits, signage, and safety installations, were meticulously documented with precision down to a few centimeters, creating a comprehensive digital inventory of the infrastructure's components.
