    South Africa's mining industry contributes significantly to the economy, generating R350 billion annually and holding untapped resources valued at R35 trillion. Barberton Mines, operating for 130 years in Mpumalanga, extracts approximately 80,000 oz of gold annually from mines like Fairview, Sheba, and New Consort. To enhance efficiency and safety, Barberton Mines has embraced innovative technologies, including static-based LiDAR for precise 3D modeling and mobile SLAM solutions since 2014. These advancements underscore Barberton's commitment to modernizing mining practices and ensuring sustainability.
