    Project Details

The New Bullards Bar Dam, managed by the Yuba Water Agency, stands as a 645-foot-tall concrete-arch dam on the North Yuba River in California. Built over 50 years ago, it serves to mitigate flood risks, produce hydropower, and ensure water supply reliability. As the second tallest in California and fifth tallest in the nation, it faced challenges with limited survey points and manual data collection methods, posing safety risks to survey teams. To address these issues, Bentley Systems created a digital twin of the dam, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and reliability while implementing an automated survey and monitoring system for risk management and dam safety.
