    Project Details

In Alcalá de Henares, a historic Spanish city, an innovative project aims to reshape urban mobility through a comprehensive diagnostic study of pedestrian mobility and walkability. Spearheaded by IIC Technologies, this initiative forms a cornerstone of the city's integrated sustainable urban mobility plan. The study employs advanced GIS tools to analyze key factors influencing walkability and connectivity. The results include a series of detailed maps and an Esri geodatabase, offering actionable insights for urban planners to enhance sustainable transportation, reduce car dependency, and promote territorial equity.

In parallel, another GIS-based research project evaluates Madrid’s public transport network, addressing its limited competitiveness for transversal trips despite existing sustainable mobility efforts. This study examines connectivity, route optimization, and supply-demand scenarios using GIS and open geospatial data.
