    Project Details

The Recycled Water Main Line from Yas Island to Saadiyat Island project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, addresses the challenge of sustainable water management by eliminating the use of potable water for irrigation. Saadiyat Island previously relied on energy-intensive desalinated water for irrigation, posing environmental and economic concerns. To overcome this, the project leverages recycled water from neighboring Yas Island, facilitated by innovative technologies such as horizontal directional drilling and hydraulic modeling. The initiative not only conserves freshwater resources but also preserves sensitive habitats like mangroves. Through strategic partnerships and a commitment to environmental stewardship, the project exemplifies sustainable development practices, fostering a more resilient and eco-friendly urban landscape in the region.
