The Digital Experimentation Field Southwest, funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), aims to make agriculture more sustainable and environmentally friendly. One aspect of this project involves minimizing herbicide use by adopting targeted and site-specific approaches for plant protection. To achieve this, the field utilized PIX4Dfields' Magic Tool to create application maps for precise herbicide treatment based on RGB drone images. By comparing conventional and site-specific applications, the project aims to gauge herbicide savings while promoting sustainable farming practices.
