Ensuring the ease, efficiency, and affordability of ship maintenance and logistics is a primary goal of the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). It can be challenging for a user to locate the right piece of equipment on a ship and obtain all the necessary data and documentation, both afloat and onshore. To support maintenance and logistics throughout a ship's life cycle, NAVSEA required a highly adaptable, intuitive, scalable, and portable way to view ship and ship class components and related data.
