    Project Details

The StreamSam initiative digitizes Kalmar municipality's urban and natural environments to enhance development planning and public engagement. The project began with creating a 3D digital model of Kalmar Castle, a medieval fortress spanning 2.5 hectares. Using Hovermap technology, the team captured detailed point cloud data of the castle, including hard-to-reach areas like roofs and interiors, which were previously inaccessible using traditional methods. Within hours, the team processed this data to produce accurate 3D models for applications in urban planning, flood mapping, solar radiation analysis, and heritage conservation.
