    Project Details

Salt River Project (SRP) implemented an Avian Protection Program to mitigate bird interactions with electrical infrastructure across its vast service territory in central Arizona. Protected birds often found utility infrastructure appealing for perching, nesting, and hunting, posing challenges for utilities entrusted with providing safe, dependable power to customers. The program addressed challenges in recording, tracking, and reporting bird encounters, enhancing conservation efforts while ensuring reliable power delivery to over two million residents.
