    Project Details

The Bilbao City Council, in collaboration with Cimubisa and Geograma, embarked on a project to create a next-generation city viewer that would serve as a central hub for geospatial information about the city. Unlike traditional mapping tools, this viewer was designed with a user-centric philosophy to cater to both the city's residents and visitors, offering intuitive navigation and access to a wide range of information.

The viewer provides a comprehensive set of features, including detailed street maps, bike rental stations, public transport routes, commercial premises, environmental data (such as acoustic and radioelectric maps), and more. Users can toggle layers to customize their experience, accessing exactly the information they need. Built with a focus on simplicity and performance, the platform supports advanced tools like distance and area measurement, dual map comparison, map sharing, and coordinate conversion. These features are seamlessly integrated into a visually appealing and agile web application, making geospatial data easily accessible and actionable for all users.
