    Project Details

In the wake of severe flooding events along the Yangtze River in 2020, which led to casualties and widespread displacement, the city of Jiujiang encountered formidable challenges associated with urbanization-induced overflow and waterlogging incidents. In response, the China Three Gorges Corporation commissioned the Shanghai Investigation, Design & Research Institute (SIDRI) to devise a hydraulic analysis system capable of simulating diverse water conditions in Jiujiang, aimed at bolstering flood preparedness. However, the endeavor faced a substantial obstacle due to the paucity of detailed data concerning the city's flood control and drainage systems.
