Revolutionizing Parcel Management: Cloud-Based Data Visualization for New York State

Systems Development Group Inc. (SDG) sought a modernized solution for New York State’s land administration and parcel management needs, aiming to transform how municipalities manage and visualize large datasets. Traditionally reliant on static systems, SDG envisioned a platform that would enable municipalities to access, analyze, and interact with aerial imagery, parcel data, and soil information dynamically.

GIS Cloud’s suite of applications proved ideal, offering SDG a user-friendly, cloud-based environment to create and publish web maps without needing extensive IT expertise or infrastructure. Through GIS Cloud's Map Editor, SDG integrated large datasets in multiple formats, including aerial imagery and parcel data with clickable URL links. These maps were then made available via a white-labeled Map Portal, enabling interactive functionalities such as search, export, map switching, and real-time visualization.

One innovative feature was the integration of SDG’s ImageMate Online (IMO) platform. By clicking a parcel in the portal, users could access a popup window with complete property details or seamlessly zoom to the specific parcel on the map. This created a seamless workflow for users, enhancing accessibility and decision-making precision.
