Pembrokeshire County Council used a Renewable Energy Assessment to guide local planning. The assessment examined the current availability of renewable and low-carbon energy and its potential capacity within the county, excluding the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The National Energy Foundation, specialists in the field, conducted the research. They collaborated with gi Perspective, a GIS consulting firm, to perform spatial analysis and create maps.
