    Project Details

The aim is to achieve a 50% reduction in carbon footprint by 2025 at West Lafayette’s water resource recovery facility (WRRF) in Indiana, USA. The focus is on improving effluent quality, and DHI has devised a specialized plan to optimize WRRF operations. The plan's effectiveness is validated using WEST software, employing detailed biokinetic process modelling and simulation. The proposed solution incorporates real-time control, digester optimization, and biological phosphorus removal, to achieve a 60% energy-neutral operation.
