    Project Details

    The project aims to leverage machine learning techniques to enhance the monitoring and forecasting of space weather by automating the detection of solar flares and other critical events in vast streams of solar images. By processing solar data in real-time, the project seeks to provide timely alerts to NOAA forecasters, enabling them to issue accurate warnings and safeguard against adverse space weather impacts on Earth's technologies, including radio communications, power grids, and navigation systems.
