A 7.8 magnitude earthquake: Gorkha, in Kathmandu killed around nine thousand people and destroyed 7,69,000 houses and buildings all with a damage of 5 to 10 Billion. Build Change, an NGO, worked with Government of Nepal Authorities to rebuild the damaged homes. Build Change creates resilient homes and schools in developing countries, providing training to builders, homeowners, engineers, and government officials in construction techniques.
