    Project Details

TruePoint was engaged by a fuel distribution company to upgrade a Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) at one of their facilities. The task required capturing detailed 3D data of the VRU, including its piping, tanks, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Given the client's tight schedule and the complexities of traditional measurement methods, TruePoint opted for a more advanced approach using LiDAR technology. The Leica P-40 Scan Station was deployed to perform rapid laser scanning of the VRU. This high-precision scanner captured millions of data points, generating a comprehensive point cloud of the entire facility.
