Ramboll Oil & Gas, a leading engineering firm based in Denmark, undertook a project to scan and model the interior space of an offshore oil production platform in the North Sea. The objective was to capture the as-built conditions for the installation of new pipe runs and equipment. The project's scope included the creation of accurate 3D models to ensure that prefabricated components could be seamlessly installed on the platform. The resulting 3D models were detailed and layered, enabling precise modifications and tie-ins with existing structures.
